This is an original 1928 black and white halftone print of a landscape in the Valley of Mexico, with the twin volcanos. Popocatepetl and Ixtaccihuatl looming in the distance. Named from the Mexican legend of Popocatepetl and Ixtaccihuatl, these volcanos are said to once have been two lovers separated by war and reunited after death and covered by snow and turned to mountains by God.
