Lupe VŽlez (1909-1944)

Born Mar’a Guadalupe VŽlez de Villalobos in Mexico, she was one of the great Latino actors of early Hollywood. Some of her films include: The Gaucho (1927), Lady of the Pavements (1929), Resurrection (1931), Hot Pepper (1933), Palooka (1934), and a series of Mexican Spitfire films in the 40's.

Ever wonder how the stars broke into the movies? As fans of early film we certainly have, and Period Paper has been fortunate in obtaining a great collection from 1930 of the autobiographies of some of the top stars of the silent films and the early talkies. Each photograph image of a star is accompanied by a full page autobiography with the star's signature in print. Whether your interest is in the cowboy stars, like Tom Mix, or in the great comedians, Chaplin, Keaton, and Lloyd or in the beautiful leading ladies like RenŽe AdorŽe and Joan Crawford, you will enjoy this collection of very framable memorabilia. The stars in their own words--believe what you will!

Please note that the image and the autobiography are two separate items, shot against a black background.
