This is an original 1930 halftone print of Christ of the Andes. The caption writes, "...a monument to peace between Chile and the Argentine towers above the Transandine Railway, which tunnels through the mountains at 10,452 feet." The monument was unveiled in 1904 to celebrate the peace between the countries.
