This is an original 1930 halftone print of the Riverside Farm in the Rock River Valley. The Rock River Valley is located in both Wisconsin and Illinois, and is a the river is a tributary of the Mississippi river. The Riverside Farm was the home of Francis A. Hoffmann. Hoffmann was an author and a Lutheran clergyman. He wrote under the name of Hans Buschbauer. He was born in Westphalia, Prussia, and in 1840, emigrated to Illinois. He retired in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
