1931 Collotype Simone Martini Saint Catherine Trecento Crown Iconography XAE8

This is an original 1931 two-color collotype of a panel painted by the Italian medieval artist Simone Martini which depicts Saint Catherine. However, as there are three different Saint Catherines, two of which wear a crown, the absence of further clear iconography makes it difficult to identify to ascertain to whom this portrait refers.
