This is an original 1931 halftone print of a nurse and child during the Middle Ages. The baby's bottle was made of tin. Oxhorn bottles were also popular during the age, as well as wood. The 18th century created baby bottles made of porcelain and glass. At the time that this image was published, glass was used exclusively since it was so easily sterilized.
