This is an original 1932 color print of a Mazarin tapestry in Joseph E. Widener's home. Widener was an art collector and helped fund the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D. C. The tapestry as known as the Mazarin tapestry as it came from Cardinal Mazarin's home. In the image, God and the Pope are shown with Sibyl, Esther, and Ahasuerus. Photography by Paul Hesse Studios.
