This is an original 1932 halftone print of Thomas Chrowder Chamberlin. Chamberlin was a well known geologist who was versed in zoology and botany, as well as geology. He worked as a professor at Beloit College, the State Normal School (now the University of Wisconsin-- Whitewater), and at the University of Chicago. Chamberlin has a lunar and a Mars crater named after him.
