This is a still from the 1933 film Cavalcade. Written by Noel Coward, the film was a pageant of English life and history over three decades from 1900-1933. In 1934 Cavalcade won the Oscars for Best Picture, Best Art Direction, William S. Darling, and Best Director, Frank Lloyd. This scene depicts British troops embarking on a ship bound for the South African (Boer) War.
