This is an original 1933 halftone print of sugar sacks being weighed at the American Sugar Company. The company was founded in 1891, and was the largest sugar refining industry in the beginning of the 20th century. The company became Domino Sugar.

Photography by William M. Rittase (1894-1968). He was an American photographer active from the 1920s to the 1930s. He is best known for his industrial photography and portraits often used in Fortune Magazine.
