This is an excellent original 1933 halftone print featuring an aerial view of the city of Bursa, the old capital of the Ottoman Empire (a Turkish empire that lasted from 1299 to 1923) in Turkey, a Eurasian country located between Asia and Europe. Brusa is the historical name of the city Bursa. This city is "beautifully situated beneath the well-watered slopes of Mount Olympus", a mountain in Bursa Province, Turkey. Bursa is one of the loveliest cities in Asia Minor, is noted for its beautiful mosques and its stately cypress trees. The city cypresses are even more numerous for it has been the custom of the people to plant a cypress tree for each new burial in the cemetery.
