Warner Baxter (1889-1951) He came to Hollywood from vaudeville and Broadway. A matinee idol in the silents, some of his films include: Her Own Money (1922), The Great Gatsby (1926), Ramona (1928), In Old Arizona (1929) for which he won an Oscar, The Arizona Kid (1930), 42nd Street (1933), Penthouse (1933) and The Prisoner of Shark Island (1936).
