The caption writes, "David Hilt Tennent is Bryn Mawr's senior scientist and a biologist of international repute. An alumnus of Olivet College, Michigan, and of Johns Hopkins, he has studied marine biology from Woods Hole, Massachusetts, to the Sea of Japan."
