This is an original 1935 halftone print of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Corkum. Mr. Corkum worked as a paint spray man at the Plymouth Motor plant in Detroit, Michigan. The caption writes, "The Corkums live at 6183 Townsend Street, Detroit which is the fourth house from the left. It is distinguished by its foundation of concrete blocks and its new coat of paint, both the outcome of Corkum's HOLC loan. Before it, stands Corkum's Plymouth and a 1926 Jordan with a homemade truck body which belongs to Arthur Dale, Corkum's brother-in-law."
