This is an original 1935 halftone print of tetrahedron blocks lined up to the right of the image. The caption writes, "The Mississippi has many a curve and bend, and it is the natural tendency of the current to increase the curvature. By piling these concrete blocks along the banks of the river, Army engineers hope to keep the river in its present channel." Photography by International Cement Corporation.
