Charles Fenno Jacobs (1904-1974) was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. He had a recognized reputation as a photographer by 1941, and worked for Life Magazine as well as Fortune. He is known for the images he took during World War II as a part of Edward Steichen's Naval Aviation Photographic Unit.
