This is an original 1936 halftone print of a worker at the United States Gypsum Corporation (USG Corporation). The worker is seen with stacked wallboards. The caption writes, "Plaster sandwiches dried and stacked: wallboard ready for 1936's 175,000 new houses."

Photography by William M. Rittase (1894-1968). He was an American photographer active from the 1920s to the 1930s. He is best known for his industrial photography and portraits often used in Fortune Magazine.
