This is an original 1938 black and white print ad for Colgate's Ribbon Dental Cream from Colgate and Company. This ad features an illustration of the Dionne quintuplets: Annette, Cecile, Emilie, Marie and Yvonne. The Dionne quintuples were born two months premature, and are the first quints to survive their infancy. The Dionne girls were made to be the King's property for the next eight years, wherein the government and other related officials made them into a popular tourist attraction in Ontario, Canada, and began to profit at the children's expense.
A great print item for the collector of Dionne Quintuplets memorabilia!
