This is an original 1939 halftone print featuring an image of the Fort Howard Hospital built in 1816 and the Wisconsin's American Home - the Captain Cotton House in 1840.

The Fort Howard Hospital served as the Fort Howard Hospital which is in Heritage Hill State Park, and is located at Chestnut Avenue and Kellogg Street in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin.

Captain Cotton House is an example of early American home and pure Jeffersonian architecture. The Captain House was built by Capt. John Winslow Cotton, a Green Bay pioneer, about 1840.
