This is an original 1939 halftone print of Georges Clemenceau, ignoring an eye infection, and walking through the French trenches. Clemenceau was the Prime Minister of France from 1906 to 1908, and was a huge voice at the Paris Peace Conference, the Treaty of Versailles, and the aftermath of the war.
