The Far East was an exotic place even as late as the mid-20th century. Period Paper is pleased to offer a collection from 1940 of original advertising for various industries, products, and services, as well as color prints of tourist attractions, of the countries of Japan, China, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Burma, Australia and New Zealand. These items provide a glimpse into the economy and culture of that period during Japan's occupation of China but before the start of World War II in the Pacific.
