The American Cyanamid Company was a large chemical manufacturer and was founded in 1907 by Frank Washburn. Divisions of the company include Lederle Laboratories, Davis & Geck, Old Spice, Breck, Pine-Sol and Melmac. Currently, the company is known as Cytec.
