This is an original 1941 sepia photogravure of the inside of the Royal Exchange building in London, England. It was founded by Sir. Thomas Gersham in 1565 to act as the center of commerce for the city. It was officially opened and awarded the Royal title by Queen Elizabeth I. During the 17th century stockbrokers were not allowed to use the Royal Exchange due to their rude manners.
