This is an original 1941 sepia halftone print that depicts several locations pertinent to Kit Carson's life in San Geronimo de Toas, New Mexico. The frontiersman's old home began a curio shop after his death, during which time he was laid to rest at the cemetery of Don Fernando de Toas. The cavern in the lower image was a hiding place for Kit and his men during his campaign against the Navajo.
