This is an original 1941 halftone print of a Peruvian native woman wearing the traditional costume of Peru consisting of colorful layered skirts called polleras, saucer-shaped brimmed hats, ponchos or shawls, headgear, and embroidered shirts.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a collection of halftone prints and color lithographs of traditional Latin American costumes and national dress by the artist, Jolanda Barta. Printed on a special heavy paper stock, the images include a short descriptive caption by Dorothy Gladys Spicer. Please note that the lithographs are hand-produced by the artist. In excellent condition, these detailed and colorful images would look fantastic framed.
