This is an original 1942 halftone print of an image featuring Lyman Copeland Draper (1815-1891), a lifelong student of early American history. Lyman Copeland Draper was the builder of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. This portrait was painting for the Society by J. C. Marine at Jacksonville, Illinois, in 1868.
