This is an original 1943 World War II black and white print ad for the Rex Triturator, a product by the Chain Belt Company of Milwaukee. This piece of equipment grinds up garbage produced by the ship crew. The garbage that is ground into pulp sinks quickly in salt water, thus leaving no trail to expose American military positions for enemy U-boats.
