This is an original 1943 halftone print of an image featuring John Martin Henni (1805-1881), a Swiss-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church, and the first Archbishop of Milwaukee. Portrait painted by Bernard Issac Durward of Milwaukee and presented to the Wisconsin Historical Society in 1866 by Mrs. Joshua Hathaway.
