This is an original 1943 halftone print of workers de-feathering chickens. The caption writes, "Rubber fingers on a speeding roll pluck the large feathers. Small feathers are removed by dunking the birds in wax and pulling off the hardened wax. But some pinfeathers must still be plucked by hand."
