This is an original September 1st, 1944 two-color cover for Yank: The Army Weekly Magazine featuring Private First Class Russell Smith of Monona, Iowa, enjoying a K ration in his foxhole near La Haye du Puits, also known as Hooey La Pooey, France. The top hat and cigar were collected in an abandoned German dugout.
