1944 Print World War Two Pacific Theatre Aircraft Helldiver Plane Airforce XEKA3

This is an original 1944 black and white halftone print of two Curtiss SB2C Helldiver aircraft of the 17th Carrier Bombing Squadron ready for action over the Pacific Theatre. One modern innovation the Helldiver aircraft took advantage of was the folding "turtleback" design, allowing the crew gunner the ability to extend his line of fire in a dogfight, providing better defense from enemy fighters.
