This is an original 1945 two-color print map titled, "Conad Pipeline System." Shown in the map are the areas of 6" pipe, 4" pipe, the pipeline route and the communications system. The pipeline made it's way from Marseille, to Valence, to Lyon, to Dijon, Epinal, Sarrebourg, and then to Frankenthal.
"Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered the continental advance, communications zones, the European theater of operations, and the United States Army during 1944 and 1945. The Conad staff began in Africa and traveled to central Europe where they finished.
