This is an original 1945 color print of images from New Guinea. Shown at the top are images of peaks taken from an Army plane. At the center left is an image of a Papuan inlet. Next to it is an image of a winding road built by the United States engineers in Hollandia. At the bottom left is a thatched hut and served as a typical home of the people at the time. On the bottom right is an image of Kanakas paddling their canoes surrounded by coastal hills.
