This is an original 1947 black and white photogravure of George Washington's Grist Mill at Mount Vernon in Fairfax County, Virginia. Located in close proximity to Alexandria, Virginia, Mount Vernon plantation was the home of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The structure is built in the neoclassical Georgian architectural style on the banks of the Potomac River. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960.
