This is an original 1947 black and white photogravure of Governor Botetourt Statue at The College of William and Mary's Wren Builiding in Williamsburg, Virginia. Norman Berkeley, Baron de Botetourt, was Royal Governor of Virginia from 1768-1770. Well liked by the colonists, he was interned beneath the Wren Building. His obituary described Botetourt as "the best of Governours and the best of men."
