Andrew Loomis
(1892-1959) William Andrew Loomis was born in Syracuse, New York and was influenced by the work of Howard Chandler Christy. He studied at the Art Students League in New York and the Chicago Art Institute. Loomis taught at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and also wrote several art books.
