This is an original 1950 black and white halftone print of a short-sleeved kaftan that belonged to Sultan Selim II. A kaftan is like a mantle that is usually worn over indoor clothing. It was made of red moire silk and the pattern contains large serrated leaves wrought with gold thread.
CONDITION
This 61+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Light aging throughout. No creases. Minor print defect - bottom. No surface rub.No tears. No water damage. Please note that there are several small white print defects found throughout the bottom of the black background in this print.
