This is an original 1950 sepia photogravure of the Governor's house in Ushuaia which is the capital city of the province of Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina, South America. This building is now the Antigua Casa de Gobierno Museum. Many consider this city to be the southernmost in the world. The city experiences about 200 days of light rain or snow each year.

Tierra Del Fuego (Land of Fire) is separated from the rest of Argentina by the Strait of Magellan and was first inhabited by the Selk'nam Indians about 10,000 years ago.
