This is an original 1952 color collotype of a chenille brocade textile which feature a figure smoking a pipe in the bottom right corner. The fabric in this piece was originally from Portugal or the region of Andalusia, Spain. It was created around 1700 AD. A brocade is a type of richly decorated shuttle-woven fabric and is usually made of colored silks.
