This is an original 1953 black and white halftone print of the Ring of Brodgar in Orkney, Scotland. The ring is said to have been built between 2500 and 2000 BC, but interestingly enough, the site has never been fully excavated, so the monument's age is really quite unknown. The ring covers over 90,500 square feet, and is made up of stones varying from 7 feet tall to 15 feet.
