This is an original 1955 duotone rotogravure of a man dressed as a clown in front of a gigantic figure of Ravana who is the ten-headed demon king who was slain by Rama according to Hindu belief. The performance of clowns is part of the Dasehra festival which is held every October in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
