This is an original 1956 2 page black and white print article (one double-sided page) by M. Célérier entitled "Comment M. X... a trouvé une bonne" ("How Mr. X... found a housemaid"). A cautionary tale to anyone writing a personal advertisement, it follows the ups and down of a man trying to procure a maid. After seeking professional advice on ad-writing, he finally hires his maid, only to have her hand in her apron shortly after. After talking up the positive qualities of the position, he failed to mention the negatives, which cost him in the long run. Please be sure to view the additional image.
