This is an original 1969 tipped-in color print of The Torero which was created by Juan Gris in 1913. "Torero" means bullfighter in Spanish.

Juan Gris was born in Madrid, Spain in 1887 as José Victoriano Carmelo Carlos Gonzáles-Pérez. He studied mechanica design in Madrid, but later moved to Paris, France, in order to become a painter and sculptor. Juan Gris became friends with other artists like Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Georges Braque. He is known for his Cubist paintings that usually contain many bright colors.
