This is an original 1984 color print of three rails: the Bare-Eyed Rail (top), found in southern New Guinea, the Aru Islands, and Misool; the Redwinged Wood Rail (middle), a rare bird found in the rain forests of Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil; and the Baldfaced Rail (bottom), found on Sulawesi (Celebes).
Period Paper is pleased to offer a group of lovely color prints of birds of the family Rallidae. Commonly called rails, they are small-to-medium sized birds which are mostly associated with marshes or wetland habitats.
