021018_BD1_002

This is an original 1984 color print of three rails: Wallace's Rail (top), a flightless rail found in swamps on the Indonesian island of Halmahera; the Wood Rail (middle), found in the forests of Madagascar; and the Graythroated Rail (bottom), found along streams in western Africa.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a group of lovely color prints of birds of the family Rallidae. Commonly called rails, they are small-to-medium sized birds which are mostly associated with marshes or wetland habitats.
